Due to licensing restrictions, not all patients can be treated by Dr. Davis via telehealth. 

All patients in Alabama are eligible for telehealth services currently. 

There are other states that are expanding their permission to allow residents in their states to participate in telehealth care using a physician located in another state.  

Both new and established patients may participate in telehealth care currently.  This is a new permission given due to the state of emergency we are all experiencing in the United States.

In order to make all this work, there is a process required to get things set up properly:

• Contact our office to schedule an appointment
• You will be invited to connect to our Patient Portal (email invitation)
• After completing the registration process on our Patient Portal, you will need to download the Care Cloud Live app (free).
• At the time of your scheduled appointment, you will simply open the CareCloud Live app and login using your Patient Portal credentials.
• You will receive a message when Dr. Davis is ready to connect with you to start your visit. 

• A secure internet connection with adequate speed to allow a video call is important.  
• A smartphone with camera, mic, and speakers or 
• A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone, and speakers.

We require a $75 deposit to schedule a Virtual Office Visit.  

If your insurance carrier pays for the telehealth visit, you will be issued a refund for this deposit.  

If Dr. Davis determines that you need to come into the office for a more thorough evaluation, we will apply your deposit to your in-office visit when you come into the office.

Our goal in offering these telehealth services it to reduce the need for patients having to come to our office physically for evaluation and discussion with Dr. Davis.

Not all problems are treatable via telehealth.  We have no way to perform xrays, apply casts, or administer injections using telehealth.  

Some problems require a hands-on physical exam to fully assess.

During your telehealth visit, if Dr. Davis determines that you need an in-office visit, we will help you coordinate getting into our office and help you manage the problem until you can get in.
